Yes. All-wheel-drive vehicles must be transported with all four wheels off the ground. Towing with any wheels rolling on the road puts stress on the transfer case and driveshafts that can cause permanent damage. This applies to Audi Quattro, BMW xDrive, Mercedes 4MATIC, Porsche AWD variants, and any other AWD platform. Flatbed is not optional for these vehicles.
You can be present at pickup and delivery for loading and unloading. During transport, passengers ride in the cab with the driver, not in the vehicle on the deck. If you want to follow the flatbed to the destination in another vehicle, that is also fine. We just ask that you share the destination address before we depart so we are both going to the same place.
It can. Aftermarket body kits narrow the clearance margins during loading. Modified or lowered suspension changes both the approach angle and how the vehicle sits on the deck.
